Laurin & Klement 1912

The original wooden body of this car was lost decades ago when it was converted into a fire engine, so the current owner decided to have it rebuilt to the same condition as it left the factory in 1912.
A good three-view drawing from the Skoda archive with some basic measurements was the starting point.  Assisted by contemporary drawings showing the type of construction details used in such structures, the car body was created . We decided to construct the wooden shell using wooden strips laid diagonally. This method will prevent cracks from developing.
